Executive Director of The Federation of German Consumer Organisations
Klaus Müller is since May 2014 the Executive Director of The Federation of German Consumer Organisations (Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband e.V. – vzbv).
From 2006 to 2014 was Müller the Executive Director of the Consumer Centre of the Federal State North-Rhine Westphalia.
From 2005 to 2006 he was Member of the Parliament of the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein, from 2003 to 2005 Minister of Environment, Nature Protection and Agriculture in the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein, from 2000 to 2003 Minister of Environment, Nature and Forestry in the Federal State of Schleswig-Holstein. 1998 to 2000 he was Member of the German Bundestag, Bonn/Berlin.
Born in 1971 in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, Müller studied Economics at Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel.
Chairman of the Management Board
Lukas Siebenkotten has been elected Chairman of the Board of Governance of the Federation of German Consumer Organisations (vzbv) on 14 November 2012. He fulfills this honorary assignment in addition to his full-time position where Mr. Siebenkotten is Director of the German Tenants Organisation.
Mr. Siebenkotten is a lawyer and has worked as attorney in Krefeld since the year 2000.
Between 1995 and 1999, he was mayor of Willich, a city in Northrhine Westphalia, where he had previously been elected member of the city Council.
On 1 September 2008, Lukas Siebenkotten has been appointed Director of the German Tenants Organisation. At the same time, he is Managing Director of the DMB publishing house, editor in chief of the organisation’s magazine “MieterZeitung”, responsible for the content of the information brochures, leaflets and the “Tenant’s encyclopedia” as well as Member of the Board of the organisation’s legal expenses insurance “DMB Rechtsschutz-Versicherung”.
Lukas Siebenkotten was born on 22 September 1957 in Hamm, Germany, he is married and has four children.
